Rescue

This activity develops finger dexterity and is played with fingers only (without a pencil).

Fine motor movement skills of individual fingers are very important for developing loose pen posture and fluency in writing. For sufficient finger mobility, children must develop an awareness of the individual fingers and master isolated partial movements.

The bridges can be controlled by moving individual fingers in isolation, thus influencing which animals are allowed back into the barn. The score is assigned accordingly. To move the right finger at the right time, good hand-eye coordination is needed in addition to finger dexterity.

This activity can also provide a good foundation for using a keyboard.
