The aim of this handwriting activity is to practice a fluent stroke. It is important that the wrist rests relaxed on the paper and the pencil is held loosely. The pencil should be moved along the lines as smoothly as possible, without interruptions. The child may speed up as long as he or she can control the movements. Fluent strokes are important for automated and fast writing. When writing, the speed and movements must always be adapted to form the individual letters.
Colored pencils, plastic folder, paper clip, Smarties / ball-shaped candies, printed templates (see resources below).
To craft your own delivery vehicle, cut it out and place it in the corner of a previously cut plastic folder. Position it under your wrist to facilitate smooth gliding on the paper. Ensure your wrist remains on the plastic folder to prevent your scooter from slipping during the journey.
Ready for some special deliveries? Grab a paper clip and attach it to the tip of your pen to create a trailer. Now, you can transport small items like Smarties or ball-shaped candies to houses along your route. Be careful not to lose your precious cargo!
Imagination knows no bounds! Draw your unique street on a piece of paper and let your creativity run free. Where will your journey take you? To a bustling city, a serene seafront, or a magical zoo? Sketch the corresponding background to bring your adventure to life.
Don't limit your travels to just cars—design your own fantasy vehicles, whether it's a delivery truck, a racing car, a safari jeep, or any other mode of transport you can dream of. Add these creations to your urban folder for a truly customized journey.
